Nonprofit and nongovernment organizations ask an enormous amount of the people who carry their mission — often without the infrastructure to support them through crisis, burnout, or the vicarious trauma that comes with the work. Citta Balance partners directly with organizations to extend real, trauma-informed care to the people doing that work, built on terms that fit how nonprofits and NGOs actually operate.
Citta Balance contracts directly with your organization to make CRAFT Family Support, Systems Navigation, Restorative Circles, and Relapse Prevention Planning available to your staff — the same depth of care offered to private clients, extended through your organization rather than paid for individually. Terms are built around your organization's size and needs, from a defined number of engagements per year to open access across your staff. Whether you're a small mutual aid organization or a large NGO, there's a structure that can fit.
What happens in a session stays between Citta Balance and the person receiving care. Your organization is informed only of what's needed to administer the partnership — eligibility, scheduling, and utilization in aggregate — never the content of anyone's sessions. That confidentiality isn't a courtesy; it's what makes the support usable.
When it's useful, and only at the individual's direction, Citta Balance can also serve as a discreet point of contact with your organization on someone's behalf — coordinating time off, accommodations, or next steps without requiring the person in crisis to manage that conversation themselves.
If you're considering how to support the people carrying your organization's mission, we'd welcome the conversation.
